Everything you need to know about Hoco

September 19, 2022

Homecoming is just around the corner!

For many, including myself, this might be the first school dance that you will be attending. Unsure of what to expect? Here’s what you need to know!

This year’s homecoming dance will be located at R Banquet in the city of La Habra on Saturday, October 8th from 7:00-11:00 pm. The theme for the dance will be A Night in Paris.

The prices range depending on both time of purchase and whether you have purchased an ASB card or not.

The tickets are on sale now and are available in the Activities Office. Before purchasing tickets, make sure you pick up a homecoming contract and get it signed by a parent or guardian to purchase a homecoming ticket. The contract must be signed and turned in to the Main Office. Bring the approved contract with you when purchasing your ticket.

From September 19-23 a homecoming ticket is $65 with an ASB card, $70 without an ASB card, and $75 for guests. Then from September 26 and beyond, tickets range from $70-$80.

Each student has access to purchase a total of 2 tickets, one for themselves and one for a guest. If you are bringing a guest who does not attend El Rancho, pick up a guest application from the Activities Office and bring that application signed when purchasing your guest’s ticket.

The typical attire for the homecoming dance consists of short dresses, suits, and even tuxedos but the ERUSD dress code is still enforced for homecoming.

  • Shoes must be worn at all times
  • Excessively sheer, low cut, or over revealing is not allowed

The homecoming contract addresses other guidelines for students which include

  • No drugs or alcohol may be used
  • Receipts AND photo I.D. may be shown in order to enter the event
  • No inappropriate behavior or dancing is allowed

No refunds will be provided if any of these rules are violated. Refunds will be given prior to homecoming. The last day to receive a refund is September 23. For all the guidelines, pick up the student contract in the activities office.

Join your school for a Night in Paris!
