Opinion: Is Grad Nite worth attending?

Grad Nite tickets are now on sale and many people are debating whether or not they want to spend $150 in order to attend. Since tickets usually sell out, many people are trying to make their decision quickly. Seniors, there are many things you should consider if you want to attend Grad Nite on June 9th.

There are a few reasons why people may consider Grad Nite to be worth it or not. One main reason is the price. The Disney website has not made tickets for June available yet. However, considering their usual pricing, we can assume that it will be around $180-$200 for a one-day single park ticket. Some people may see this price compared to the $150 for Grad Nite and decide that this discount is enough to convince them to buy a ticket.

On the other hand, many people just don’t have extra money to spend on a Disneyland ticket or think that even $150 for a single park ticket is too expensive. Other people may have a Disneyland annual pass and may not consider it worth the extra money. 

Another thing that may cause people to reconsider buying a ticket is the date. Grad Nite takes place on June 9th. Certain people may not like that Grad Nite happens 4-5 months after they buy a ticket. They may not like planning that far ahead as they may have an emergency of some kind or their family may have plans that happen to interfere with Grad Nite. 

Students will probably spend about 4-5 hours at the park. For many this may seem fine; but for others, this is too short. Some people want to make the most of their day whenever they go to an amusement park. They may want to spend more time in the park. The price of the ticket may lose its value to these people because of the limited amount of time they would spend at the amusement park. 

Even with all these cons, many people will still buy a ticket. There are many reasons they may still buy a ticket, but the main reason is that Grad Nite is an experience. You may be able to go Disneyland on another day, but you can only go to Grad Nite once. If you want to have a good time with your friends at the end of high school, Grad Nite is a good experience for a price many would deem fair. While it may have a few downsides, I would still say that it is something you should get to experience.
