This year’s yearbook is titled “Year of the Dons” and the theme was based on a playlist. This book was such a book to remember! Creating a yearbook is not the easiest thing to do. It is a journey that involves creativity, teamwork, and a lot of hard work. It is a long and difficult process, but it is all worth it.
It all starts with a meeting where the team brainstorms ideas. This year’s team comprised 11 students from 10-12 grade. They come up with a theme or grid and then the artwork begins.
As most people know, pictures play a big role in a yearbook. Good quality pictures and information draw students’ attention and make them want to buy it. The 2024 yearbook staff was very dedicated and determined for the yearbook to come out unforgettable. Senior Kayla Ramirez was the yearbook staff lead. Ramirez was very excited to be a part of the staff this year, along with her senior peers, Salvador Ramirez, Daniel Robledo, Mia Islas, Ayanarra Flores, and Jaylnn Ojeda. They all collaborated and helped each other plan out this year’s yearbook.
The yearbook begins with all the contents and the senior class photo. The senior portraits and many other senior activities follow the senior class photo. The staff encourages classmates to submit their pictures and create their own stories. Photography is crucial to the yearbook, as it visually documents the year’s events and activities.
On top of that, yearbooks serve as a historical record capturing events, trends, and personalities that define a particular period. They offer a visual representation of Blue Pride reflecting the values, achievements, and challenges simultaneously. Yearbooks become valuable monuments for future generations to look back on.
Finally, a school yearbook is not just a book, it is a time capsule filled with memories, laughter, and friendships. It keeps memories alive from a school year and allows us to look back and reminisce about the good times shared with classmates, teammates, teachers, and staff.
