With Halloween coming up, many California amusement parks are open to visit and experience their yearly Halloween time special events. From right now to October 31st, you can visit the Disneyland Resort and Disney California Adventure! It has transformed from your everyday Disneyland to a more spooktacular theme park, with numerous Halloween decorations around the two parks!
Both Disneyland and California Adventure have added over 50 new limited-time Halloween foods, making guests’ visits filled with yummy treats for the day. Some of these spooky goodies include Jack-O’ Lantern Mickey Pumpkin Macarons, Mickey Bat Cookies, Strawberry Pie-filled Beignets, Dark Matter Pizza, the Maleficent Churro and so many more! The park also has many new themed drinks such as Oogie Boogie Apple Lemonade, Pumpkin King Cold Brew, and the Transylvania Transfusion.
On top of these delicious treats, the resort continues its yearly Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure! At this after-hours event, visitors are able to enjoy 5 hours filled with tricks, treats, and epic excitement. The Oogie Boogie Bash includes special parades, meeting your favorite villains, and collecting candies throughout the entire park. Visitors are highly encouraged to dress up in creative costumes to show off their Halloween and Disney spirit all in one! The Oogie Boogie Bash has sold out for this year, but it is something to keep in mind for next year.
Also from now until mid-January, Haunted Mansion Holiday is now available for visitors to ride and enjoy at the Disneyland Resort! Every year around the Halloween and Christmas season, the 55-year-old ride combines the two loveable stories into one attraction, the Haunted Mansion and The Nightmare Before Christmas!
At California Adventure, guests are also able to ride the limited version of Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark until the end of October. The ride includes exhilarating drops with a new chilling action-packed storyline just in time for this Halloween season!
Disney magic key holder Nayeli says, “Personally, I love Disneyland more when it comes to Halloween time. The characters are dressed in spooky costumes, people are even dressing up most of the time and especially the decorations. My favorite part of it all though would be the Holiday Haunted Mansion! When the sun goes down, they do a lighting ceremony and turn on the candles surrounding the entire house and it looks so nice and gives off more spooky vibes. I definitely recommend people visit during the Halloween season, it’s so cool here.”
This Halloween time at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure is a great place to spend quality time with family and friends. Both parks are filled with many new foods & beverages, rides, special events, and so many more limited Halloween sweets for guests to look forward to! Check out Disneyland’s tickets and availability this season for a “fright-tastic” magical Halloween experience!
