On Saturday Oct. 12th, before Donald Trump’s Coachella rally began, Riverside County Sheriff’s department arrested Vem Miller. They presumed that he was planning an attempt to assassinate former president Donald Trump.
Miller was on the way to the Coachella rally and he had fully loaded weaponry in his vehicle. At the checkpoint, he was searched and the guns were discovered and he was arrested by the Riverside Sheriff’s department.
Miller was released from jail on a $5,000 bail with a court date set for Janurary 2nd 2025.
The Trump Campaign has not viewed this as an attempted assassination towards him at this rally.
In other news, Trump stated more of his plans and goals he wishes to achieve at the Coachella rally, which included the state of california “turning red.” The last time that the California electoral votes went to a republican candidate was in 1988 to George H.W. Bush.
During the rally, Trump also stated, “We’re not going to give you any of that fire money that we send you all the time for all the forest fires that you have” , A threat made to the California governor (Gavin Newsom) should there not be a change in the “mismanagement” that Trump claims there is in California.
California is known for severe wildfires, one wildfire getting so bad that the smoke made it all the way to Europe in 2021. Wildfires in California should not be threatened with letting the state to burn that could cause detrimental effects to the state and surrounding states and countries.
The on-going political violence and threats being made needs to end with the 2024 election being only 3 weeks away, expected to take place nationwide on November 5th. Political violence is something that should never come to a voters’ mind when they are making their decision.
