At only 15, Maddox Batson already manages what many musicians aspire to do; he writes hit songs and sells out shows while paving paths to major festivals like Stagecoach.
The Alabama-based singer recently released a single, “Girl in Green”, adding another step to Batson’s rapid-moving career.
Batson originally gained notoriety through covering songs from artists like Zach Bryan, Red Clay Strays, and more, before finding his own voice.
His early songs like “Tears in The River” and “I Wanna Know” were proof of his own rising creative journey, and his talent was further established after landing a co-write credit on “Tough”, a track that features big names Lana Del Rey and Quavo.
Batson’s new single “Girl in Green” also leaves another mark on his career blending heartfelt lyrics with country and pop. It has no shortage of emotion that is quickly becoming a part of his signature sound.
“It can be overwhelming, this life, but I’ve got a lot of good people surrounding me,” Batson says. “I’m still just a kid, though, and I’m happy about that.”
He remains grounded despite his rise in music, and as someone who plays several instruments–the piano, guitar, and mandolin– he is prepared for more releases.
Maddox Batson’s talent is well ahead of his years and his drive is evident in his music, making it clear that he is going to leave an impact from his career.
