The time has come for Congresswoman Linda Sanchez to host her 23rd Annual Congressional Art Contest for high school students.
The 38th Congressional Art Competition includes a handful of mediums for artists to submit their work, including paintings, drawings, collages, photography, prints, mixed media, and computer generated art. These students compete for the grand prize of a $1000 scholarship and their artwork is displayed in the U.S. capitol for one year, with second place earning a 400$ scholarship and third place earning a $300 scholarship.
There are 2 more categories for rewards, including an honorable mention with a prize of a $100 scholarship, and the fan favorite for a prize of a $200 scholarship.
The fan favorite prize is won from earning the most votes on Sanchez’s facebook page (link at the bottom of this article). 1 like is 1 vote and 1 share is 5 votes.
The art contest is on April 17th 2025 @ Rowland High School (2000 S Otterbein Ave. Rowland Heights, CA 91748) in the hideout room. The reception is from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the rewards ceremony starting at 6:00 p.m. If you are interested in going, please RSVP (link below).
