On Friday, May 2nd, the El Rancho High School students and families came together in the Main Gym during lunch to celebrate the graduating class’s plans at the annual Senior Commitment Day.
The event recognized seniors committing to a variety of post-graduation paths, including 4-year universities, community colleges, trade schools, and military service.
It was a chance for students to proudly share their next steps while being cheered on by their classmates and staff.
Seniors wore T-shirts, hoodies, and hats representing the schools and programs they’ll be joining after graduation, filling the gym with a variety of colors and logos.
From local colleges to out-of-state universities and enlistments into different branches of the military, the range of commitments reflected the mixed ambitions of the Class of 2025.
As part of the tradition, students who made their commitments also have the opportunity to be featured on city banners displayed throughout Pico Rivera.
It’s a way for the community to celebrate the seniors’ achievements and support them as they move into the next chapter of their lives.
Senior Commitment Day has become a meaningful tradition at the school, not just for recognizing academic decisions but for honoring all the different paths students take after high school.
