On May 16th, the Department of Homeland Security proposed an idea for a show, where immigrants would compete for U.S. citizenship.

What were they thinking?

The alleged show producer, Rob Worsoff, had the idea to take the immigrants across the country and essentially compete for U.S. citizenship. This idea isn’t a good one, because for one, many immigrants are against Trump, and two, immigrants are not likely to sign up and take alternative routes to citizenship.

Not to mention, Rob Worsoff emigrated from Canada and he is still in alliance with this plan, as a former immigrant.

Where is this idea headed currently?

As of right now the Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem addressed to a senate committee on May 20th that she and her leadership “have no knowledge” of this show. 

Furthermore it is to be noted that she believes that the idea may have been submitted to the department but she and her executive team had no knowledge of it.
