To kick off the new school year, El Rancho High School hosted a Welcome Back Assembly for the entire student body. This year’s assembly showcased many activities, as it introduced our new ASB staff for the year, recognized the cheer and academic decathlon team for their achievements last year, the captains for the fall sports, and concluded with a theater department show.
This year’s Associated Student Body (ASB) Cabinet welcomes Abraham Jimenez as ASB president, Celeste Gutierrez as ASB vice president, Damien Ramos as secretary, and Athena Elizondo as treasurer.
During the assembly, the El Rancho cheer team was recognized for winning the CIF Southern Section Division 3A championship. The academic decathlon team was also congratulated for their outstanding performances last year, winning the Division 2 state championship and placing in the top 3 in LA County.
