Weekdays can be a bit of a grind. school, deadlines, and the constant caffeine chase, the one thing that always makes my day better is a killer lunch. That’s why Subway’s Meal of the Day is super clutch. For just $6.99, you get a delicious sub, a medium-sized drink, and your choice of a bag of chips or a cookie. If you want, you can upgrade to a footlong? It’s only $3 more, making it an even bigger steal for a satisfying lunch.
On Monday, the Coldcut combo, in my opinion, is the perfect sub to kick off your week. With a hearty combination of Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, and smoked ham, this sub is packed with so much flavor and protein to get you through your Monday. You can add your choice of fresh veggies and Italian dressing, and you’ve got a satisfying, balanced meal that sets the tone for the days ahead. It’s a classic that never fails. I highly recommend light mayo and Southwest on this sub.
By Tuesday, the All-Pro Sweet Onion sub steps in as the perfect pick-me-up. Packed with savory turkey, ham, and crispy bacon, this sub offers a satisfying protein punch. What really sets it apart is Subway’s signature sweet onion sauce, which adds a subtle sweetness that balances perfectly with the smoky, salty flavors of the meat. Fresh, crunchy veggies add texture and freshness, making each bite a well-rounded experience.
For those who prefer a warm, comforting meal rather than a cold sandwich, the All-Pro shines even brighter when toasted—the melted cheese and slightly caramelized edges bring an extra depth of flavor. If you’re the person who craves a flavorful but balanced lunch, whether you’re powering through meetings, hitting the gym, or just need something to brighten your day. Personally, I love how it combines sweet and savory in a way that feels both indulgent and wholesome.
At the halfway point of the week, sometimes you need a hearty, comforting meal to keep you going. Subway’s Meatball Marinara sub delivers just that. Packed with savory meatballs smothered in rich marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese, this sub is warm, filling, and satisfying, the perfect comfort food to power you through the rest of your day. Keep in note, the Meatball Marina sub is seriously messy—between the rich marinara sauce soaking into the bread and the juicy meatballs, it’s almost impossible to eat without things spilling everywhere. The sauce tends to drip, and the combination of melted cheese and tender meatballs just adds to the delicious chaos.
Thursday calls for me for something with a bit of spice, and the Spicy Italian with a touch of hot honey delivers just that. The bold combination of pepperoni and salami, paired with spicy jalapeños and a drizzle of sweet, sticky hot honey, takes this sub to the next level. It’s a flavorful and exciting choice, a perfect balance of heat and sweetness to end the workweek on a high note and keep things fresh.
End the week on a simple yet satisfying note with Subway’s Tuna sub, the most underrated sub. in my opinion. This sub offers a creamy, comforting break. It’s everything you love about a classic sub, mayo and tuna perfectly mixed, fresh veggies for crunch, and the option to customize just the way you like it. This sub feels like the perfect reward for making it through another week. For this sub, I think again the south west just works so well, hot take, because according to a lot a sub Subway eaters I talk to, the south west doesn’t seem to work on tuna, but I think they are so wrong. It brings a bold, smoky, and slightly spicy flavor that complements the mild, creamy taste of the tuna.
Overall Thoughts
Out of all of the subs my the best one in my opinion would for sure be the Monday Cold Cut combo. With all its meat and flavor, it just gives me joy, and the best part is adding the southwest sauce that kicks the flavor on the sub. But overall, they all work on their day.
