Wednesday, October 8th, was El Rancho’s Night Pep Rally. The class theme for the freshmen this year was The Little Mermaid; the class colors were pink and teal. The theme for sophomores was Despicable Me; the class colors were yellow and purple. The class theme for juniors was Monsters University; the class colors were blue and white. And the class theme for seniors was sinister seniors. The class colors were black and red.
The night pep rally started off with ASB telling Dons about the rules of the pep rally and how to behave properly. After that song and cheer, they gave a performance and had the different classes show off their pride by singing, “Come on, Dons, let’s do it! We know you can do it! Alright!”
After each class showed off their school pride, the freshmen did their class skit of The Little Mermaid. Then after that, instead of doing the sophomore skit, the school had a game for each class. The game had two people from each class, one person in a position with their hands in a diving position and the other trying to get all the hula hoops onto the other person. The seniors had won that competition. After that the sophomores had their skit, which was of Despicable Me, and then the juniors had their skit of Monsters University. El Rancho had the classes play one more game of Hungry Hippo, with the seniors winning again. The seniors had their skit after the game, which was of horror movie characters.
The night pep rally ended with ASB announcing the places of the different classes, with freshmen in last place, sophomores in third place, juniors in second place, and seniors in first place.
