Before he got into office, President Trump promised to release the Epstein Files, but so far, he hasn’t followed his promise. According to a PBS News poll, an overwhelming 91% of American voters want all files related to the Epstein case made public, while only 9% are opposed. This kind of clear public demand makes it interesting why Trump seems to be ignoring the people who want to expose the names of those involved in Epstein’s island, one of the largest sex trafficking chains in U.S. history. In my opinion.
If you’re wondering, “What are the Epstein files?” Let me explain.
Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier who got rich by managing money for some of the world’s richest and most powerful people. His connections included famous people like Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, Alan Dershowitz, and others.
Epstein was arrested on July 6, 2019, at an airport in New Jersey after returning from his trip from Paris. His arrest was a major turning point in a years-long investigation into a horrifying sex trafficking chain that exploited countless underage girls and boys. Federal prosecutors charged him with running this disgusting, unthinkable operation. But this arrest also saw outrage over a 2008 plea deal in Florida that let Epstein get away with past serious federal charges. People were rightly furious that such a gross predator had been allowed to avoid real justice for so long.
Epstein never got to face trial, because on August 10, 2019, he was found dead in his jail cell at the Correctional Center in New York City. The official cause of death? Suicide by hanging, according to the medical examiner. But honestly, that medical report feels far from convincing.
There were too many weird suspicious details. For whatever reason, the security cameras outside his cell were mysteriously not working. The guards assigned to watch him fell asleep and then admitted to faking their records. Sus. The autopsy showed injuries that some experts say look more like strangulation than suicide.
With all these red flags, it’s no surprise many people, and even me for crying out loud, believe Epstein didn’t kill himself but was silenced to protect the powerful individuals connected to his crimes. These strange and disgusting circumstances only deepened public mistrust and strengthened the demand for full transparency and accountability. Now, let’s talk about the list. The widely discussed Epstein list is believed to contain the names of Epstein’s powerful clients, the people who met with him and, allegedly, took part in the disgusting, unthinkable acts he was accused of arranging. It’s honestly sickening to even imagine what went on. Recently, Trump has been fired up about the topic, saying things like, “The Democrats made the list,” and “The list isn’t real,” among other claims. Meanwhile, FBI Director Kash Patel has said there’s no solid evidence showing anyone other than Jeffrey Epstein himself was behind these horrific crimes.
While there’s no official “Epstein client list,” several high-profile individuals have been frequently mentioned in connection with Jeffrey Epstein. These associations have been the subject of media coverage and public speculation. Here are the top people not confirmed but favored to be on the list. 1. Bill Clinton flew on Epstein’s private jet multiple times and visited his private island. He has denied any involvement in Epstein’s illegal activities and has stated he flew on Epstein’s plane for work related to the Clinton Foundation. 2 Donald Trump—Trump had a known social relationship with Epstein and was photographed with him at various events. He has denied any involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities. 3. Bill Gates – Gates met with Epstein multiple times to discuss philanthropy. He has since called these meetings a “huge mistake” and regrets associating with Epstein. 4. Prince Andrew—Andrew has been accused by Virginia Giuffre of sexual abuse, which he has denied. He settled a civil lawsuit with Giuffre in 2022 without admitting liability.
It’s hard not to notice how both Trump and Kash Patel have changed their tune about the Epstein list. For years, they spoke openly about it—Trump even promised to release it. But now, suddenly, they claim “the list isn’t real.” That shift feels suspicious. Why the change? If the list never existed, why talk about it before? And if it does exist, why deny it now?
Trump needs to rebuild trust with the American people, especially in this case. If we finally release this list, it will restore faith in our government and show that no one is above the law, as I have stated before. Considering all the young victims who have suffered from this disgusting sex trafficking ring, we must bring justice to them and hold everyone involved accountable.
