Kali’s new song “Moonlight” was released February 23 2023, becoming a second sneak peek for her upcoming album.

“Moonlight” will be the 14th of 15 songs on the “Red Moon in Venus“ tracklist.

Uchis’ new album ‘Red Moon In Venus’ will be released on Friday, March 3. It’s set to be one of two albums from the singer this year, with both an English and a Spanish album to drop in 2023.

“Love is the message,” Uchis explains about the new album. “It is a timeless, burning expression of desire, heartbreak, faith, and honesty, reflecting the divine femininity of the moon and Venus”

“Moonlight” is a song about falling deeper in love with someone you are already romantically linked with.

“There’s nothing like peace of mind

And you take the time to make sure that I’m okay

I know I can put stress on your brain”

This verse  represents how the person you love can bring much comfort, making you feel reassured that you’ll be ok without having to ask to get reassured.

“Veo una muñeca cuando miro en el espejo

Kiss, kiss, looking dolly, I think I may go out tonight”

This verse gives a sense of self confidence and self love. Having a healthy amount of love brings the best in you, making you feel good about yourself.

She compares herself to a “dolly” meaning she feels cute and pretty, showing her be confident to go out.

“Get higher with you

Get higher and higher with you

Let’s go to the moon

And leave behind all that

How does it feel, here by my side, getting higher and higher?

Under the moonlight’s glow

There’s nowhere we won’t go

Together go higher and higher

No-no-nowhere we won’t go”

This song shows the companionship of her side of love with her lover. She expresses that she wants to not just get high but also wants to get to the top with her lover successfully.

Stay tuned for March 3rd to listen to “Red Moon in Venus”.
