Azai Mendez, Social Media Staff
My name is Azai Mendez, and this is my first year as part of the El Rodeo News staff. I enjoy eating, watching shows, and being social—because the best times are those spent with great people. I currently serve as ASB Chief Justice, President of the Model U.N. Club, and President of the Prep Club. What I love most about these roles is helping people the best I can and working closely with others. These positions have shaped me into a better listener and made me more outgoing in any conversation I have.
One of my favorite memories at El Rancho was last year’s graduation, seeing my future unfold before my eyes. I can’t wait to walk across that stadium stage with my cap and gown! In my free time, I’m a huge fan of photography—it’s the most beautiful and authentic form of art, and I recommend it to everyone I know. As for my leadership style, I’d describe myself as organized, hard-working, and always collaborative when it comes to leading clubs and working with others.
I’m excited for what’s ahead this school year and the endless opportunities to continue helping my community and making memories. You haven’t experienced high school until you’ve experienced El Rancho. Go Dons!
