Clayface is an upcoming DCU movie base off of the character of Clayface, coming out on October 23, 2026, directed by James Watkins. The official teaser trailer came out on April 22, 2026, and it did not disappoint. 

From what we saw in this trailer its going to be very dark, and a horror-type film, almost like the Joker movie with Joaquin Phoenix, but this time with fiction elements. A quick recap on the character Clayface in the comics is that he is a Batman villain who is made out of mud and can shape-shift.  This movie looks like it’s going to explore the life of Basil Karlo, who is a well-known actor and celebrity. Then it looks like he will get in an accident that will ruin his entire face and body. From what I can assume from leaks and reports, is that this will turn him dark and Sinister against the world.

This movie is definitely on my calendar because of the horror theme that we Rarely Get in superhero films, and its depressing story of a handsome actor becoming a scarred monster who hates the world.
