Documents newly unsealed related to Epstein’s case reveal shocking emails that confirm, in fact, that President Trump is mentioned. The newly unsealed messages, culled from thousands of pages of records about Epstein’s estate, give a clearer picture of how often Trump appeared in Epstein’s personal correspondence and how Epstein himself described their past interactions.
In one 2011 email to Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein mentioned that “the dog that hasn’t barked is Trump,” observing that a victim had spent hours at his house with Trump and “he has never once been mentioned,” a comment that has fed speculation about what Epstein thought Trump knew or didn’t know about his activities. As the years went on, Epstein continued referring to Trump in conversations with associates. In a 2019 email to author Michael Wolff, Epstein wrote that “of course [Trump] knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop,” a statement that has drawn intense review now that it is public.
The revelation of the documents has opened up a wave of political reaction. House Democrats say the emails raise serious questions about Trump’s relationship with Epstein, while Trump’s camp has dismissed the whole release as a political stunt that proves nothing. The emails themselves do not establish criminal wrongdoing, but they shed new light on how Epstein viewed his connections to powerful figures and how freely he referenced them in private.
These revelations come as lawmakers push for further transparency with the proposed Epstein Files Transparency Act, a bill aimed at forcing federal agencies to make public all remaining documents related to Epstein. With over 20,000 pages currently under review by the House Oversight Committee, further disclosures have the potential to add new context or raise even more questions about one of modern American politics’ most infamous social circles.
