Thomas Massie lost his seat on May 19, 2026, in Kentucky’s 4th congressional district reelection against Trump-endorsed candidate Ed Gallrein. Thomas Massie contested the election and said, “They decided to buy the seat.” Referring to AIPAC’s historical spending on this election of $11 million, which was one of the most expensive campaign spending of all time.
Before the Election, Massie talked about how concerning it was on how much AIPAC was spending so much on this election. “And I may lose is because a foreign lobby Aipac has fully funded my opponent”.
This does not shock many people because Thomas Massie has been the only Republican who has been America First. For example, he started the legislative push for the Epstein Files to be released, spoke against Trump’s war on Iran, and pushed to end AIPAC’s influence on American politics.
Aftermath
Many Independents and anti-Trump Republicans are now concerned that the whole GOP has been MAGA-occupied, and that there will not be any real open-minded conversations in the Republican Party.
The party will go all the way for Trump’s gain. Massie, after the loss, made it clear that he will do his best in the 7 months he has in office, and will keep pushing for no more wars, no more wasteful Government Spending, and a push for conservative values. The crowd that night even chanted “2028,” and even Massie went along chanteing with them, teasing at a potential presidential run in 2028. If he does run, I would see it being difficult for him to win the republican nomination, with J.D. Vance and Marco Rubio as the favorites. And like I said earlier the the republican party seems to be controlled by MAGA. Massie should run as an independent, and he’s even said it before that both parties are not representing the American people’s interests.
My thoughts
Massie losing this election was heartbreaking for me and a lot of America First conservatives, who saw him as the last real republican in the party. At the same time, this election proved one thing, again, and that is AIPAC is the most powerful foreign lobby in America.
Spending 11 million dollars on a district with a population of almost 800,000 is concerning and shows that many of our politicians are controlled by Israel with the bribe of money. If Massie runs for president in 2028, he definitely has my vote. He shows that he’s a real patriot and will do what’s right for the American people, and will end lobbyist groups from controlling our politicians. And if the other 6 million unreleased Epstein files aren’t released by 2028, Massie for sure would release them all Files including the parts where names are protected for Heinous crimes against our children.
