Students at El Rancho High School celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a fun food fest on campus. Different clubs and classes worked together to sell snacks and drinks for students during lunch. The event brought school spirit and gave students a chance to enjoy Mexican-inspired foods with friends.
Many groups participated in the celebration by becoming vendors. The Spanish Club sold hot chips for $2, while the Latino Club sold aguas frescas for $5. The Junior Class sold esquites for $4, and the Freshman Class sold Hot Cheetos with cheese for $3. Students had many choices and enjoyed trying different foods.
Other clubs also joined the event with sweet snacks and treats. The Great Outdoors club sold brownies for $4, and the Sophomore Class sold cookies, muffins, and conchas. Dons for Christ sold Rice Krispies treats in different sizes, and Key Club sold nachos with cheese. Exec Comm also sold Wetzel Pretzels and kettle corn.
