Currently, El Rancho High School has only two languages taught—English and Spanish.
A few years back, there were classes that taught French, which I think we should bring back. It is important that the students at El Rancho are able to speak multiple languages, even if not fluent. This gives them the opportunity to communicate better with people when taking on a career in the future, and it prepares them for.
Offering additional languages, aside from our most spoken ones, can help with navigating yourself when visiting other places, allowing better communication with the locals of the area. It also makes room for cultural understanding.
Some courses we believe we would benefit from are Japanese, Mandarin, Russian, and Hindi. These classes are widely spoken around the world and it makes room for students to learn new languages.
