I do think students should be allowed to leave the school during lunchtime. Students are in school for about seven to eight hours, they need a break from school and I think that lunch is a great time for students to go out and be in a different environment.

I have no hate of school, but I know many people who stress or need a break from school from time to time. I understand that schools are afraid of safety and that students won’t be back for class, but the schools should treat us as they treat us in classes. They love to say, “You’re a young adult, act like that” and to act like it would be allowing students to go out.

Additionally, it gives students an understanding of responsibility for going out and coming back on time for their classes. I know that I would want to go out of school during lunch because I don’t always enjoy school lunch. So, I think that going out would give more variety of food than just cafeteria food.
