The Los Angeles Dodgers brought excitement and community spirit to El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera during their annual Love L.A. Community Tour on Friday. Dozens of students packed the gymnasium to welcome current Dodger players, including stars Brusdar Graterol, Bobby Miller, Miguel Rojas, and Gavin Stone, who joined students for interactive rally games and activities.
The gym was filled with cheers, laughter, and Dodgers gear as students had the rare opportunity to see their baseball heroes up close and feel the energy of Major League Baseball right on their campus. For many, the experience was unforgettable.
“It was a great event, I had a lot of fun and even got an autograph from a player,” said student Juan Pablo, smiling as he showed off his Dodgers memorabilia.
The pep rally was about more than just fun, it was part of the Dodgers’ larger mission to connect with young fans and give back to the community. Throughout the day, players took time to talk with students, answer questions, and take photos, creating memorable moments for those in attendance.
“I had a good time taking photos at the event, even got some nice pictures of the team,” said Brian Gonzales, who documented the rally and player interactions.
Many students said they felt inspired by seeing professional athletes who worked hard to reach the major leagues, reminding them to pursue their own goals both on and off the field. Teachers and staff also praised the visit, noting that it boosted school pride and brought a positive, energetic atmosphere to campus.
Following the rally, several Dodgers continued their community outreach by visiting other local organizations, including honoring first responders at the Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Center near Dodger Stadium and celebrating their recent World Series success. The Love L.A. Community Tour has become a cherished tradition, showing that the Dodgers care about more than just what happens on the baseball diamond they are also committed to uplifting and inspiring communities across the region.
