On February 5, 2026, El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera hosted its annual Rising Don Night from 5 PM to 7 PM in the new auxiliary gym, welcoming incoming students and their families to learn more about the vibrant life of a Don. This event is designed to help future freshmen and their parents get acquainted with the school’s academic programs, clubs, sports teams, and support services before the start of their high school journey. Students and families walked through informational booths, met with teachers and counselors, and asked questions about everything from electives to extracurricular activities. Rising Don Night gave everyone a chance to feel more confident about transitioning into high school and to begin building a connection with the ERHS community ahead of the upcoming school year.
Families attending Rising Don Night also had opportunities to attend small workshop sessions about key programs such as AVID and other academic offerings, and to discover ways to get involved on campus. Events like this strengthen the bond between students, parents, and staff while helping incoming Dons plan for success both in and out of the classroom. Many students left the event feeling excited and prepared to start their high school experience surrounded by supportive teachers, enthusiastic clubs, and a welcoming community of Dons.
