Cancel culture seems to not hold people accountable in this generation.

Cancel culture has been around forever but more recently it had a surge in 2019 to now. 

Examples of people who seem to not have been held accountable for multiple scandals that he had was James Charles. 

Jame Charles has been in multiple scandals and cancelled throughout the years. One of his most popular scandals was in 2019 when a beauty influencer Tati Westbrook posted a video titled “BYE SISTER” towards James Charles accusing him of betraying her and being inappropriate towards straight men.

His most recent scandal in 2021 was him messaging minors in inappropriate ways. 

His two most popular scandals forced him to speak out on it and apologize which was forgotten about and he was barely held accountable since he was popular in the pop culture scene.

In some situations people are very much held accountable for their actions but most people such James Charles actions are usually brushed under the rug and forgotten about.
