Movie Mania Madness! Juniors Steal the NPR win

Who would have thought that the Jurassic Juniors would roar their way to victory at the night pep rally?  It was truly jaw-dropping!  The overall theme of this year’s Night Pep Rally was “Movie Mania Madness!”  Students showed up in full force, rallying and cheering their way to a shocking victory.

The decorations were out of this world, transporting everyone to a setting where each movie takes place. From Spider-Man cutouts to webs all over the seniors side, every corner of the gymnasium was transformed into a vibrant setting from each theme.  The Jurassic Juniors kicked it out of the park with the dinosaur costumes and the green vibe that was portrayed during the event.  Sophomores portrayed their theme with a whole army type of feel from Avatar with blue faces all over the stands to show their spirit. The first-year’s candyland freshman theme was filled with pink and bright colors that stood out from the crowd with a reputation to hold for this is their first year in the big leagues.

Spiderman Seniors!

The performances from each class were nothing short of spectacular.

The Spider-Man Seniors swung into action with an electrifying dance routine that put everyone on their feet.

The Jurassic Juniors put up a real type of feel with the dinosaur inflatables fighting for their delicious meal of humans.

The Avatar Sophomores showcased their incredible coordination and creativity with a mesmerizing show from the outfits to the acting.

And let’s not forget the Candyland Freshmen, who brought a burst of energy and excitement with their vibrant candy shirts and buckets of candy for the students to catch.

Izaiah Corral and Andrew Carabez teaming together for the hungry hippo game.

But it wasn’t just the big performances that contributed to the class points.  The small games held throughout the night added an extra layer of fun and competitiveness.  From the balloon popping to the hungry hippo bash, each class had the chance to earn points and show off their skills.  It was a thrilling display of teamwork, strategy, and sheer determination.

This year, however, the Jurassic Juniors rose up from the depths in first leaving the Spider-Man Seniors in second, the Avatar Sophomores in third, and the Candyland Freshmen in last place.

Overall, the night pep rally was a true celebration of school spirit and talent.  The decorations, performances, and small games all came together to create an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. It’s moments like these
that make school life so special and memorable.

This is Isaiah Gonzalez here. I am 17 years old and I am a senior at El Rancho High School in Pico Rivera. This would be my second year in El Rodeo spreading the news.  I grew up here in Pico my whole life and I am proud of that.  I enjoy watching movies in theaters with the full experience.  I love all the animals but my favorite would have to be a panda because they are so cute.  Playing games with my friends is the best after school activity because I always win.
